Kayaking

Wisconsin has some really awesome lakes. We are new to kayaking and I have to be honest it is a really fun sport. We have lots to learn but having a lot of fun doing it!

Random Lake – We headed out on Wednesday evening to check out the waters of Random. It was a little breezy and there were some active boater out but we still to managed to relax and enjoy this lake. We kayaked until dusk this night! Their launch has easy access for both boaters and kayakers. And the beach area is great for many families to enjoy.
Freeze Lake – Out on a Sunday morning. There was a lot of vegetation on this lake. It’s not a large lake and for beginner kayakers this was a great lake to practice maneuvering our kayaks. We did not launch at the DNR public launch because it was very mucky so we headed a bit further down the road to Wally & Bee’s. Great little pub that has a launch and a great little beach area. Wally & Bee’s also rents out boat in which we saw many come and rent them. Must go back place!
Wallace Lake near West Bend – This is a smaller lake and we did a couple rounds around the out skirts. I would definitely go back. The public launch isn’t the best but it isn’t the worst. There is no public beach to dock our kayaks so we stayed out on the water.

A must spot to kayak! We headed out to Devil’s Lake in Wisconsin to do some hiking and kayaking for the day. It was a beautiful warm Sunday summer day to enjoy the lake and kayak around it.
